World Junior ranking

BWF has been using the World Junior Ranking since 1st January 2011. All Member Associations are invited to continue to apply for sanction for their junior tournaments and the application must be made through the Continental Confederation.

All Member Associations have the possibility of including their tournaments in the World Junior Ranking / Junior Calendar.

 Ranking

  1. World Junior Ranking – Seven or fewer World Junior Ranking tournaments in the last 52 weeks
  • If a player or pair has competed in the same event at seven or fewer World Junior Ranking tournaments then the ranking is worked out by adding the points won at the tournaments.  Up to a maximum of three BWF sanctioned World Ranking tournaments shall be included in the player or pair’s World Junior Ranking.

      2. World Junior Ranking – Eight or more World Junior Ranking tournaments in the last 52 weeks

  • If a player or pair has competed in the same event at eight or more World Junior Ranking tournaments, only the seven highest points scored in the tournaments during the previous 52 week period count towards their World Junior ranking, of which a maximum of three BWF sanctioned World Ranking tournaments shall be included in the player or pair’s World Junior Ranking.

      3. Tournaments included in World Junior Rankings
