2015 Superseries Homepage

Inaugurated in 2007, the BWF World Superseries is a 12-tournament series where top badminton players compete throughout the year for a place in the season finale, the BWF Destination Dubai World Superseries Finals.

From Sydney to New Delhi to Paris, players earn valuable World Ranking Points towards their BWF World Ranking used in the qualifications for the BWF World Championships and Olympic Games. The kickoff for 2015 is in March with the Yonex All England Open followed by the Yonex Sunrise India Open.

There is also a separate ranking table for the series - BWF Destination Dubai Rankings - where the top eight players or pairs in men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, and mixed doubles qualify for the BWF Destination Dubai World Superseries Finals held at the end of each season.

In 2011 a two-tier Superseries circuit was introduced, where five of the twelve Superseries events were selected as Superseries Premier.

The Superseries Premier events serve up higher ranking points and prize money with the Indonesia Open offering the largest prize purse of USD 800,000.

The BWF Destination Dubai World Superseries Finals, 9-13 December 2015, will offer a total prize money of at least USD 1,000,000.00, the most ever offered in the history of the finals.
